Slide: Videos and flash animations | Print |

Teaching notes:

  • The videos are supplemented by explanatory texts. These are very short, however. Additional explanations may have to be given by the instructor.
  • With the flash animations, various options can be chosen from a user-friendly interface (such as Windows). During a lesson, the instructor should select the one which fits that part of the lesson, without playing the whole range of animations.
  • Videos and flash animations could be used methodically as follows in a module:
    1. Everyday experiences
    2. Experiment
    3. Verbal description of the observations by pupils
    4. Video
    5. Summary of observations
    6. Interpretation
    7. Explanation with models
    8. Visualization of the models with flash animations
    9. Application of the findings
